Our practice is looking for a bright, enthusiastic PA with good
communication and learning skills. Experience is a plus, but the applicant's
attributes are most important. The position is full time, with hours 8:30 to
5:00, and almost no on call. The practice is medically oriented, but we
would like to add some cosmetic procedures. The practice emphasizes patient
education, is very proactive, and has achieved an international reputation
for its melanoma screening program. PA duties would include seeing
dermatology patients, performing minor procedures, assisting the
dermatologist in some instances, and reviewing lab results. The
dermatologist has spoken at national and international conferences, and
there is an opportunity for the PA to become involved with some educational
projects.

Description
Harbin Clinic Neurosurgery is accepting applications for Physician
Assistants for two current openings. Each position will work directly with
one of two Neurosurgeons who are part of a three physician neurosurgery
team. The PA will work with the collaborating physician in an active
inpatient and surgical first assist capacity to deliver quality healthcare
services to our patients. Under the direction of the physician duties will
include, but are not limited to: • Pre and post-operative treatment and
management of acute and chronic health conditions • Surgical first assist to
include appropriate education and preparation of patient and equipment for
procedure • Ordering and interpreting lab and radiology tests • Prescribing
medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated •
Ordering therapeutic or other corrective and/or rehabilitative measures •
Completing all documentation of H&Ps, surgical procedures, and other
required notes in the patient medical record in accordance with law and
clinic policy/protocol and within required timeline Must be a PA licensed by
the Georgia Board and able to provide clinical and surgical first assist
with a proven history of excellence in both clinical expertise and positive
patient rapport. Experience in a Neurosurgical setting is preferred, but
will consider experience in other surgical settings or new graduates with a
passion for surgical specialties and an aptitude for learning. Must have a
spirit of dedication to your craft and a desire to make a positive
contribution to a team approach to medicine.
