These are the seven core rotations during the clinical phase of training. Each rotation is approximately five weeks long. Core rotations are completed in sites developed by the PA Program or affiliated institutions, and are typically in Georgia. Students return to campus at the end of each rotation for End-of-Rotation didactic activities and testing.

The goals of this course are to increase the student’s knowledge of issues relevant to farmworker health, and to increase the student’s sensitivity and competency in dealing with these issues. This is seen as preparation for students and others participating in the South Georgia Farmworker Health Project, and is a general preparation for those interested in serving medically underserved populations. Students typically begin the course in January of the clinical year.

Following the core rotations, students begin the Advanced Clinical Phase (electives).
