 Live Board Review Course

The Emory Physician Assistant Program has provided quality board review courses for twenty years. Many PAs return annually because it is a great refresher course and high quality CME.  The 20th annual Certification / Recertification Review for Physician Assistants  is scheduled for September 29- October 2, 2010 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel on Emory campus (please note the new location). The review will take place on Wednesday - Saturday from approximately 7:00 AM -5:30 PM each day. The Emory Conference Center -

Located at 1615 Clifton Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA on the beautiful Emory campus across the street from the Centers for Disease Control . Rooms are available for the conference at an excellent  rate of $99 + tax/ night. Convenient free parking is provided at the hotel. Please indicate the "Emory PA Board Review" when making room reservations to obtain the discount rate. Reservations can also be made by phone at: ((404) 712-6000.

The Conference Center is a full service hotel with spa, indoor pool, fitness center, Concierge, three restaurants, Bar, and walking /jogging trails. Free Cliff Bus service is available to the main Emory campus , malls, and downtown Decatur (with shops, more restaurants, and Marta station.) A list of things to do

 

The conference is limited to 260 participants. Tuition is $500 prior to 9/1/10, $550 after 9/1/10, and $600 on site (Pre-registration closes on 9/25/10; onsite registration is limited and payment on site is by cash or certified check only). Alumni, GAPA members and active military attending the conference will receive a $75 discount for the full conference. Please indicate your status on the registration form.
Tuition includes –
• 36 hours of live AMA Category 1 lectures in stadium seating with ergonomic chairs
• Continental breakfast, continuous break food, and buffet lunch all 4 days
• Free WiFi access in the conference area, lecture hall, and guest rooms
• The DVD Home study version of the Fall 2009 Board Review conference with practice test, MP3 audio files, and PDA video.
• Two weeks of unlimited PANCE/PANRE practice tests using Exam Master Online
• Opening reception in the Conference Center Bowling Alley – Game room
• Free parking at the conference center

The Review consists of lectures to refresh the learner's knowledge on a wide range of core medical problems and content including reviews of Dermatology, Pediatrics, Fluid and Electrolytes, GI Disorders, Psychiatry, ENT, Ophthalmology , Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Pulmonary Disorders, Infectious Disease, HIV/AIDS, Hematology, EKG interpretation, Chest X-ray interpretation, OB-GYN, and other topics. You can review the latest schedule of the Course.

 The Review Conference is designed based upon the list of topics potentially on the PANCE / PANRE as provided by the NCCPA, and by review of the PANCE / PANRE board exam matrix of question distribution. Obviously, the exact content of the PANCE and PANRE exams is confidential and not known to the developers of the Review Conference, and no suggestion is made that the Review Conference or practice exam questions represent the level of complexity or distribution of topics on the actual examinations.

This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 36 hours of AMA Category I CME credit. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity.
