Admission Requirements

All applicants to the Career Masters of Medical Science degree program  must meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Applicant must have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.8/4.0 for all undergraduate work completed. Written appeals on this requirement may be made to the Emory PA Program Director and to the Coordinator of the Career MMSc Program.

2. Applicant must have successfully completed and graduated in good standing from an accredited PA Program. A letter of reference will be required from the Director or Department Chair of the applicant's PA program.

3. Scores from the Graduate Record Exam are required for application for admission, and must be current to within 5 years of application to the CMMSc program. Please report your GRE score to institution code # 5187.

4. The applicant must have current national certification (NCCPA) as a Physician Assistant.

5. A minimum equivalent of two years of patient care experience is required.

6. A personal interview will be required of successful applicants.

7. All applicants must submit three letters of reference, preferably from current and previous employers, clinical supervisors, and workplace professional colleagues. As noted above, an additional letter of recommendation is also required from the applicant's PA program Chair or Director.
