Description
This is a full time emergency medicine position. Two Emory PAs currently
practice alongside 4 other PAs and 16 physicians. Position will require 15
shifts monthly and the opportunity for extra shifts if desired. Shifts are
10 hours and will be divided between Villa Rica and Carrollton hospitals,
which are part of the Tanner network of hospitals and clinics in West
Georgia. Interstate 20 is within minutes of both locations. A new Carrollton
ED is currently under construction and will open within the next 2 years.
This is not strictly a fast track position as the PAs are encouraged to help
manage higher acuity patients with excellent physician support. Candidate
must be comfortable with suturing and abscess treatment. Injuries,
infections, abdominal pain, chest pain, and headaches are very commonly
encountered complaints. Intubation and central lines are not required of
midlevels. Salary plus biannual bonuses allow a yearly earning potential
over 110K. Health insurance, CME allowance, Malpractice coverage, and
Vacation time are all included in the benefit package. New grads will be

This is a Cardiothoracic Surgery position located at the University of
Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. It is a full-time position with on-call and
weekend responsibilities. We are interested in someone with experienc but
training can be provided for new graduates or clinicians willing to
specialize on cardiothoracic care. Description: This Physician Assistant
will work within the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division to provide a full
spectrum of care to adult patients including heart and lung
transplantations. This person will work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team that includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and
Physician Assistants. This person must provide comprehensive care in both
the inpatient (ICU and step-down care) and outpatient settings. He/she must
demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients and

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for providing medical care as
delegated by physician. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assesses patient health
status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines
appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. 2. Provides acute and
chronic patient care including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring

patient record and maintains department statistics. Uses computer to
access/enter needed data. 6. Educates patients and families as appropriate.

Maintains patient confidentiality. The job holder must demonstrate current
competencies applicable to job position. EDUCATION: BA/BS, MS preferred.
Graduate of AMA accredited physician assistant program. EXPERIENCE: Minimum
of one year experience as physician assistant, preferably in clinic setting.
REQUIREMENTS: Current state PA license, certified by National Commission on
Certification of Physician Assistants. Current CPR certification. KNOWLEDGE:
1. Knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols, administration of
medications, delivering physical care following treatment plan. 2. Knowledge
of how to assess patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth
